Service Trip to Kolkata, India
In order to address the problems of poverty in India and develop Hong Kong's teenagers in  social responsibility, a service trip to India has been organized annually. In the past few  years, several groups of students from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) were sent to Kolkata, the third largest city in India,  for 4-6 weeks to conduct "Vocational Skill Transfer Project" & visit  places of the children who are sponsored by our "Change A Life Children Sponsorship Program".

Vocational Skill Transfer Project
"授之以魚, 僅供一飯之需; 授之以漁, 則終生受用"- <老子>

As the old saying goes, if we treat a man fish, he would only be benefited by a meal; however, if we teach him how to fish, he will be benefited in a lifetime. We strongly believe that through enriching people's knowledge is key to change their fate.we

To conduct the "Vocational Skill Transfer Project" Students were working with Forum of Community United in Service (FOCUS), a local NGO, during their stay in India. They organized various classes in the children and women centers established by FOCUS. These classes were aimed at skills teaching and knowledge transfer which will be useful in their daily living.

Change A Life-
Children Sponsorship Program
Students who joined the serve trip were also required to follow-up our children sponsorship program. They visited the places of the sponsored children and kept us updated to
the condition of the children. They needed to keep close cooperation with FOCUS to find any potential candidate for our program.

Home visit is a great opportunity for students to have a close contact with local people living in Kolkata. This can develop them a deeper understanding in the living condition of people in slum areas.

Words from our founder-
MR. Sean Yuen
The original goal of organizing a Service Trip was trying to benefit the local people and children who cannot receive proper education and have poor living quality. However, through my observation, the people who benefited most are our HKU students. I am so proud of them to address the problem in the right direction and try to fulfill what local Indian people need. Peace does not only exist in Utopia, when people with the same passion, value and the understanding about how unfair is this world, step by step, through improvement of education, health care and livelihood, Peace is not that far. Maybe I am an idealist, but what's wrong of
dreaming and doing our best to achieve that?

Service Trip to Future Village, Nepal

In 2014, Impact to Peace decided to send its volunteers to Future Village, Nepal to conduct an Empowerment Project. The aim of the Empowerment Project is to empower the local women and children in rural Nepal through education and transfer of vocational skills to allow them to have a better quality of life.
