Founders of Impact for Peace

"The more I travel, the more injustice and unfairness I see in this world. It is always easy to be a trespasser and ignore what is happening around you, however, I believe every human being should possess Love and Passion to make this world a better and more Peaceful place to live.

For this reason, I founded Impact for Peace to inspire our younger generations to pay attention towards the underprivileged, and take actions according to their needs. Hopefully Impact for Peace will become a platform to link enthusiastic volunteers and various humanitarian projects in small corners of this world. We welcome everyone to join our projects, as well as suggesting some potential projects that need help so that we can send people there. Do not look down on the impact you make, because step by step, we can achieve Peace in this world."

Charlotte Wong

Graduate of MPhil in European Studies at HKU (2011)

Currently working in a private family foundation determined to alleviate poverty in the Greater China region with a holistic and sustainable approach.

Curiosity brought Charlotte to Kazakhstan on a service trip during one undergraduate summer.  She is still grateful for all the learnings from the NGO she attached to – to serve with an eye for sustainability and accountability. Years following the adventure, the exotic food and culture evaded memory while her conviction in serving the needy ones has grown stronger and stronger.

It was her education in psychology, international relations and civil society that has combined to anchor her in the field of humanitarianism.  Leveraging her Kazak experience and postgraduate study life, she reunited with old-time friend Sean to build up Impact for Peace.  Charlotte and Sean have started with a small yet passionate team to follow the United Nation Millennium Development Goals, because they both believe that small efforts count towards big changes and quality is important.

Upon graduation with a master degree, she decides to dedicate herself to a full-time career in philanthropy and be a supporter of I4P’s next generation of change-makers.
